A Southern California girl living in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania
I am an interior designer with a love for vintage home furnishings. In addition to running my design business, I co-own a retail store called High Street Market (which is also the name of this blog). I live in Philadelphia with my husband. Three years ago, we bought a 120 year old house and we are working hard to restore it! This blog is a place for me to share my design inspiration, current home projects, and new vintage finds. Hope you like it!
Since posting about A Country Home's incredible kitchen makeover, I've had butcher block countertops on the brain. They're beautiful, aren't they? So warm and cozy...
I love butcher block countertops, esp. with white. I think it's a good compromise between the husband and I, I love all things white and he loves wood tones. =)
They are beautiful, but I have a friend who just put these countertops in her redone kitchen and the water from the faucet is really starting to wear down the wood!
i just love trina's kitchen and her whole house. she is so talented. and so sweet to boot! the pictures of her kitchen look as good as the professional kitchens you show. love your blog!

I want to live in ALL of these kitchens!
I'm in love with this look, especially after oohing and ahhing over A Country Home last week. There is something so warm and inviting about the look.
love these images. we installed a walnut block on our island, but the husband barely lets me set a drink on it never mind cut on it.
