Anna Spiro in Ivy & Piper

Like I mentioned yesterday, the premiere issue of Australia's Ivy & Piper Magazine was released this week.  Not only did it include the jaw-dropping work of MWM Interior Design, but it also featured one of my personal favorite designers, Anna Spiro.

Anna mixes color and pattern like no other, and I just love how she combines vintage finds with modern pieces in such a flawless way.  Everything looks easy and collected.  Like, it just evolved that way.  I think that she's pretty brilliant.

Now, let's talk about Ivy & Piper Magazine shall we?  Can I tell you how excited I am to get an Australian design magazine for FREE?!!!!  I'm very excited.  Because, those Aussies have got it going on... and now, we can get a piece of that style in the states.

MWM Interior Design

Massucco Warner Miller Interior Design is a company formed by three women: Julie Massucco, Melissa Warner, and Carrie Miller.  Based in San Francisco, the MWM design trio also have offices in Los Angeles and Seattle.  One of their recent San Francisco projects was featured in the premiere issue of the Australian online magazine, Ivy & Piper (and incidently, one of my favorites, Anna Spiro, was also featured this issue!).  I love the way MWM incorporates bold color and modern design within a traditional format.  The spaces feel completely polished without being too formal.  Sophisticated without feeling stuffy.  Every room feels fun, don't you think?

Shop Window At Black & Spiro

I adore Anna Spiro and have mentioned my admiration of her work before.  Well, Anna just posted an image of the front window at her shop, Black & Spiro.  How awesome is this?  That wallpaper.  The lamps!  So great.

Black & Spiro

So, Anna Spiro is leaving my dream: she is a shop owner, interior designer, and mom. Oh, and she writes that semi-popular blog, Absolutely Beautiful Things. Have you heard of it? She inspires me and thousands of others with her crisp clean use of white and bright saturated color, all combined to create a completely unique, fresh space that is tailored and friendly.

Well, she just announced that the Black & Spiro website is up and running. The porfolio is chalk full of great Anna Spiro images... Here a just a few of my favs.









If I can ever get to Brisbane, visiting Black & Spiro will be at the top of my list.
