Come On, Irene

Everyone is talking about Irene!  Hurricane Irene...  she's threatening the Atlantic coastline with 110 mph winds and coastal flooding.  Are you in the path of the storm?  What have you done to prepare?  We're staying put in Philadelphia and hoping it doesn't hit us too hard.

Today, I thought I would talk about a different Irene: Irene Suchocki.  She's a Montreal based photographer and her work is soooo dreamy.  I'm smitten with quite a few pieces.  Especially the cityscapes: New York, Paris, the Italian coastline... Check out her portfolio:

Isn't she so talented?

Contact Irene Suchocki for custom sizing (24" x 20" would be amazing, wouldn't it?), and visit her shop HERE.

Happy Weekend, everyone.  Hope you're staying dry wherever you are!

Jason LaFerrera

I'm loving these pieces by New York based artist, Jason LaFerrera.  Using vintage maps, he creates these stunning digital collages.  The Grizzly Bear is my favorite.  It measures a whopping 20" x 30" and it reminds me of California.

More fantastic prints from Jason LaFerrera:

Visit his professional website, and buy a print HERE.

Ready Go Banners!

You may remember that I am co-hosting a baby shower next month for my bestie in Southern California... and I am having SO MUCH FUN planning the tiny details.  One little online shop that I'm somewhat obsessed with is Ready Go.  The cake toppers, cupcake toppers, and graphic banners are SO PERFECT for birthday parties, bridal showers, weddings...  or in my case, baby showers:

(perfect for a wedding, yes.  but, wouldn't this banner be a cute way to announce the baby's name?)

so cute!
(also, I love this ruffled cupcake liner.  I found a similar one HERE, and you can also buy them at Michaels)

and, Ready Go has some darling "To & From" gift tags.

Visit the Ready Go shop HERE.

Happy Tuesday!

Color Block

I am so in love with these cheerful abstract prints from San Francisco based Etsy seller, TWOEMS.  Aren't they marvelous?

This yellow and green "geo print" (seen above) reminds me of a fabulous fabric by Jim Thompson...

Jim Thompson's "Hexistripe"
I've loved this print since I first spotted it a couple of years ago (it also comes in some darker colorways-- think navy and magenta!).  I'm dying to use it in a future project.

Shop the entire TWOEMS shop HERE.

(she also has pieces that would be perfect for a kids room, you must see)

Have a bright and colorful Spring weekend!!

xoxo

Paintings By Sharon Schock

I'm loving these oil paintings by Sharon Schock.  Inspired by the Southern California landscape, Sharon tries to paint every single day.  Isn't that wonderful?  And, lucky for us, we can purchase these lovely pieces through her online shop

A colorful still life (like these) would make a terrific accent to a kitchen or dining room...

Oma Vintage

I recently found this vintage clothing shop, and I think that it's too beautiful to keep to myself.  Oma Vintage is based here in Philadelphia (holler) and I love the retro vibe of the shop.  That scarf alone--  LOVE the combination of colors.

(I'm also extremely envious of her long, blonde, "just been surfing" hair.)

Here are some of my favorite picks...

Oma Vintage is on Etsy, but I also encourage you to visit their official website HERE.  That's where I found the GORGEOUS Oma Vintage blog.  I wish I could take pictures like this...

Or, this...

Or, like this...

Happy Hump Day, everyone!

Neapolitan Snakeskin Cards

On a recent browse through Etsy, I stumbled across these fabulous snakeskin cards at the Etsy shop, Neapolitan.  I really LOVE them...

And then I realized, I may have spotted this shop somewhere else in the blogosphere?  Yup, Lonny Magazine featured Laura Naples' Etsy shop, Neapolitan, in their last issue.  Do you remember this adorable spread?

Anyway, she has many other fine items in her shop...  like this lovely card set (and they are presented in such a chic little box!).

I think that these would make great gifts for the upcoming holiday season, don't you?

Friday's Etsy Shop: Poor Dog Farm

In honor of the 'Vintage Baby Sale' this week, I have decided to feature one of the most imaginative artists on Etsy, Poor Dog Farm.  I just DIE over these regal little illustrations-- frogs wearing golf caps, birds wearing motorcycle helmets (!) and owls in glasses!  I want to learn more about these eccentric characters... they are so intriguing.

How PERFECT are these for a kid's room?

For even more fabulous examples, shop at Poor Dog Farm's shop.  HERE.
