Keith Johnson: Man Shops Globe

If you're an Anthropologie fan, you may have heard of the popular show (on the Sundance Channel) called "Man Shops Globe".  Cameras follow Anthropologie's Antiques Buyer and Gallery Director, Keith Johnson, as he literally shops the globe for vintage and antique finds.  Elle Decor recently sat down with Johnson to ask him a few questions about his adventures, his favorite finds, and why he hates antique furniture that's been painted white!  Read it HERE.

And if you're interested, here is a glimpse of the show, "Man Shops Globe"... from Thailand.

There are many more segments from "Man Shops Globe" HERE.  Keith goes to Cyprus, Italy, Sweden, Australia, Scotland... you name it.  I think that he is lovely, by the way.

Did you know that the Anthropologie headquarters are located right here in Philadelphia?  Yes, they are.  Keith Johnson and Glen Senk (his personal partner of 35 years and the CEO of Urban Outfitters), share a home here in Philadelphia, one in New York City, and a third in Florida.  A little birdie told me that their Philadelphia mansion is located in Chesnut Hill, a very affluent neighborhood on the Northwest side of Philadelphia.  The town has roots dating back before the Revolutionary War, and the town itself is full of architectural gems.  It's no surprise that stylemakers Johnson and Senk have a home here.

Back in September 2003, Elle Decor gave us a sneak peek into their 1912 Dutch Colonial...

Thanks for sharing...I'm a huge fan of the brand, and the show. I love living near Philly because we have such a wealth of Anthropologie here! I had not seen the 2003 feature on their dutch colonial...stunning.

I have family in Chestnut Hill. It's such a beautiful neighborhood. I've been going there all my life and I'm still amazed at all the gorgeous old houses!
