A Few Things

Here are a few things I'm obsessing over this week...

Cafe curtains, having a moment.  I am loving this alternative to blinds or roman shades.

This enormous Moravian Star pendant, which we now sell in the store.  How chic would this be over a dining table, or in an entryway?

This gorgeous marble floor pattern.  So simple yet so unexpected.  I'm loving this for an entryway, or powder room.

Mexican Tiles

This gorgeous floor, made of custom-designed Mexican floor tiles, stretches from the indoor kitchen all the way to the outdoor courtyard!  How fabulous is this?

This Los Angeles home, owned by Commune Design founder, Ramin Shamshiri, was recently refeatured on Design*Sponge.  Scope out the rest of the place, HERE.

Restoration Tile!

When browsing through This Old House Magazine (yes, I'm a fan!) I spotted a feature on this tile company: Restoration Tile.

Amazing. These folks in Arkansas are recreating historic tiles, and are doing a beautiful job... don't you think? Their website includes installation photos, catalogs a HUGE variety of patterns, and even carries historic sizes and colors...

Look at these STUNNING tile borders!

Doesn't it just make you want to buy a historic home and restore it?

Leather Floor!

Holy pleather, am I the last one to know about this? Not only did Apartment Therapy blog about this in December of 2008 (I obviously missed that post), but this luxury leather floor was featured in the May issue of Metropolitan Home, and it knocked my socks off! Made from vintage leather belts, each floor tile is unique. You'll pay for this snazzy flooring feature ($75 dollars per square foot)... but, I gotta say it's pretty cool. Ting London manufactures this product, and I am sorry to say that there is very little information on their website... But, wouldn't it be perfect in a retail space? You're shopping for jeans and you're walking on recycled leather belts... hmmm.

Nice Floor

I love how these rooms were designed with a little out-of-the-box thinking... checkers, zig zags, stripes. Looks good, right?
