The French rattan bistro chair is a favorite of mine. Not only is it a total classic, but it's virtually indestructible, and totally kid proof. These multi-colored pieces have been gracing city sidewalk cafes for years. We usually see them paired with a tiny wrought iron bistro table (and a cappuccino). I love these chairs for their wonderfully graphic woven designs, their strong wooden frames and sturdy rattan seats.
And, let's face it: this chair is never going out of style.

bistro chairs at The Paris Market from our recent trip to Savannah, Georgia
If you're in the market for a French rattan bistro chair, check out TK Collections. Sold only to the trade (you'll have to order these through a designer or furniture rep), the selection at TK is excellent. Barstools, chairs, armchairs, and stools... they even sell the classic wrought iron cafe table! I'm telling you, this company stocks the best versions of this chair:

(I'm loving all the different patterns and colors!)
There's also a company called Cap Sud who sells bistro chairs made by the French company, Maison Gatti. Like TK Collections, these guys have a great selection:

I love this post! I can't stop looking at the second image - such a gorgeous kitchen and the chairs are a great accent
ReplyDeletelove these! always consider walking away with one when I see them in restaurants ... not really. (maybe?)
ReplyDeleteWow, we are so on the same wavelength! I have almost this exact post all scheduled to go for this coming Monday!
ReplyDeleteWell, we walked away from a set of 4 chairs last summer.. we did, however, take the round bistro table. These we inherited from my sister in law who had bought them all in France! But the chairs just weren't comfortable enough for long sits (our eating area is where we spend a lot of time...) and we ended up with upholstered Parsons chairs.
ReplyDeleteAnyway, I DO love this look, esp. when in Paris!
Love!
ReplyDeleteThe French rattan bistro chairs you featured here are all lovely. Kudos for a great, wonderful post!
ReplyDeleteThank you for showing some of our French Bistro Chairs by Maison Gatti, unfortunately your image # 1, 4, 8, 10 and 11 are the counter feeting of our collection.
ReplyDeleteBest regards
