Jewelry Display

I did some online shopping over the weekend, and bought myself this awesome bracelet.  I can't wait for it to arrive.

And as I anxiously wait, I am rethinking jewelry display.  I'm the girl that likes to display everything where she can see it-- bracelets on trays, necklaces spilling into porcelain bowls, rings stacked on top of eachother.  You get the idea.

But, when I saw this amazing jewelry cabinet in Victoria Thompson's apartment, I immediately wanted one (Victoria found hers on Ebay).  I just love the idea of everything being put away.  Safely, in a beautiful piece of furniture.  Plus, with a piece this large...  I get to fill it!

Victoria's sister, Antonia, uses a gorgeous orange jewelry box...

Other beatuiful images of stored jewelry...

Victoria found her's on Ebay, and if you are interested, try searching "jewelry armoire" or "jewelry dresser" or "jewelry cabinet"... you might find something good!

  3. I love the look of it all lying about but it just gets so tangled and things get scratched so I have a million different smaller jewelry boxes. Eventually I'd love to get a stand alone jewelry chest like that, they're so elegant!

  5. now that I think about it, I might actually like displaying my jewelry more than wearing it ... I have it on a tray on my dresser with a few little bowls to hold earrings and such.

  6. When I was a little girl I used to have reoccurring dreams that I'd discovered a secret velvet pouch full of sparkling gems. And every time I'd wake up sooo disappointed that it wasn't real.

Looking at these photos brings back those same feelings from my childhood... If only I could have all of those lovely things in real life....

  7. I've been coveting that bracelet on JCREW.com! I love it! Whenever I think of jewelry storage I picture Rachel Zoe's collection. Ah! I die!

  8. I have been OBSESSED with displays of jewelry like this. They look so feminine and soft. I wish i knew what kind of flowers are in the third picture, they are gorgeous. Thanks for the inspiration, it's exactly what I have been looking for!

  9. do you have a source for that image with the lucite vanity/desk (seventh picture down)?

  10. Hi Katie! That lucite picture is from the recent issue of Lonny, and they were kind enough to provide a link! So, here it is:

The lucite piece in the image looks like the "computer station" at plexi-craft... she has used it as a vanity instead (brilliant). Good luck and I hope this helps!

Your colored gemstone beads jewelry is look like vintage jewelry. Your jewelry box which is cups is so cute. Cups as used jewelry box, this is the nice concept for keeping jewelry.
