Friday's Etsy Shop: Yava Glass

Yava Glass is an amazing etsy shop that recycles beverage bottles (with beautiful screen-printed labels) into decorative glassware.

How cool are these?

And, these?

But, THESE glasses have to be my favorite!

And, as their profile suggests, these would make TERRIFIC groomsmen gifts! Seriously, what guy wouldn't think that these are cool?

Yava Glass was the Featured Seller on Etsy last week! Read their article HERE and pour yourself a cold one because it's Friday!

Friday's Etsy Shop: Mew Paper Arts!

Since I am this wedding kick, I have to give a shout out to Mew Paper Arts on Etsy. Store owner and designer, Alissa, is wonderful and not only did she design the invitations for the wedding we will be attending this weekend, but she also designed the invitations for my sister's wedding last February!

Her designs are beautiful and unique-- and if you have a specific color scheme in mind, she is so accommodating! For the price of a (lame) store ordered single wedding invite, you can get a custom designed Mew Paper Arts invitation along with the coordinating directions card and reception card! Check out her shop and pass it on to the bride in your life!

Here are the invation designs for the wedding this weekend! (the Bride & Groom are both very Irish, so isn't this perfect?)

Love this one...

This one is available HERE.

And, this Save-the-Date available HERE.

This was the version we ordered for my sister's wedding... in bright pink and charcoal grey!

Modern Wedding Photography

I am heading up to New York again this weekend for the country wedding of some close friends, and it seems that I have weddings on the brain! Since yesterday's post included some fabulous pictures of wedding decor, I felt inspired to revisit the website of the BEST photographer I know, Amanda Bevington. Based in Southern California (but her work takes her all around the world), she specializes in weddings and family photography (you really need to see her blog). Her photographs evoke a casual and candid feeling in an unexpected way, and seriously, everything looks prettier when she photographs it. She is amazing.

She will do engagement photos too...

I love how she can photograph a family and it never feels like a stiff, contrived family portrait; the photo is like a brief glimpse into their life at that moment. As I was browsing her blog yesterday, I came across this beautiful family photographed in their beautiful home.

Don't you love the Eames Rocker and the peace sign pillow in the baby's crib? When I saw this picture, I stopped dead in my tracks. Where can I get this amazing poster?

Anyone know?

Oh yeah, and we hired her for our wedding (almost 2 years ago!). I was more excited the day that Amanda agreed to photograph our wedding than the day I bought my dress. I still cannot believe that we got so lucky.

Here I am with my sexy husband!

Coral Pink and Navy Wedding!

One of my favorite blogs, Coco+Kelley recently posted an amazing spread by event design firm, JL Designs. I was blown away by the photos and the expert use of color.

This wedding was featured in the Summer 2009 issue of Bride & Bloom Magazine. Love the punch of yellow too. Enjoy!
