Happy Weekend!

Have a wonderful weekend, my blogging friends.

Here in Philadelphia, we are getting even more snow, which is nice for us.  Really, who doesn't want a couple more feet of snow?  With this crazy winter, I have realized that I need a better pair of winter boots.  I have also realized that shoveling snow is a great workout... and watching my husband shovel snow is an even better experience.  He just looks so cute shoveling our walkway (I shovel the front steps and get a runny nose and sweaty, which is not cute).  :)

Friday's Etsy Shop: Coup

I first noticed this amazing Etsy shop while reading Desire To Inspire, and I quickly headed over to browse the merchandise. A one woman show, COUP was started by a graduate of F.I.T. New York. She is also a former Peace Corp volunteer, and the daughter of three generations of professional fine artists. You may have seen some celebrities wearing her goods (Madonna is a frequent shopper)...

and every COUP order is wrapped like this:

I'm in love with the graphic style and simple shapes... this shirt is totally my favorite.

but, look at these shirts for the kids!  I wish I could wear one...  but, I think I missed the boat with that technical word "hopeful" (unless I can started training for the Olympics at age 30).

Shop COUP's other tees HERE.

Layered Jackets & Lace Up Boots

I could live in boots like these.  Especially since they are predicting even more snow in Philadelphia tomorrow...

Anthropologie Ikat Rug

This awesome ikat rug served as the color inspiration for a recent project of mine.  My client needed a chic media room that would be comfortable for everyday living, hip enough for a party, and masculine enough for March Madness watching.  When I showed her the rug, she loved it and so did her husband.  Score.

It reminds me of something you might see at The Rug Company

This one from Anthropologie is 5' x 8' and only $498.00.  Not bad, huh?  Get it HERE.

Pretty.

I never get tired of chinoiserie blanc de chine table lamps.  I am so inspired by this picture at the moment.  The brass impala bookends, the flowers...  magenta, green, white, and gold.  Love it.

99 Cent Ikea Hack

I got a little crafty today.

At Ikea last night I bought a round mouse pad for 99 cents.  Boring white.  And, really boring on my white desk.  So, I cut a scrap piece of fabric, grabbed my spray adhesive, and spiced it up a bit...

LAGIS mouse pad at Ikea

couldn't decide which fabric to use-- these are two of my all time favorites
(I ended up making both)

traced it out with pencil

cut it out and used spray adhesive on the back of the fabric
(didn't photograph that step, sorry)

And, my 99 cent mouse pad is just a bit cuter than before!

Degree of difficulty: about as easy and cheap as it gets.
